Realspace iPad App — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 25 May 2026
Last updated: 25 May 2026
This policy describes how the Realspace iPad app ("the App") handles personal information. It supplements the [Realspace Privacy Policy](https://realspace.io/legal/privacy), which governs the wider Realspace platform and website. Where this policy and the main Privacy Policy conflict in respect of the App, this policy prevails.
1. Who we are
The App is published and distributed by:
Boundary Visualisation APAC Limited
24b Spring Street, Freemans Bay
Auckland 1011,
New Zealand
For privacy questions about the App, contact support@realspace.io.
The Realspace platform that the App connects to is operated by our group company, Boundary Visualisation Limited. The main Realspace Privacy Policy applies to data processed by that platform (including your Realspace account, projects, and content).
2. Distribution
The App is distributed privately as a Custom App through Apple Business Manager. It is not available on the public App Store. Access is granted by redemption code to specific brokerages, agents, and partners we authorise. We do not control or receive identifying information about which Apple ID redeems a code — Apple manages that process.
3. What the App collects
On-device only (never transmitted to us)
Camera input — used solely to scan QR codes when pairing this iPad with a Realspace Display. Frames are processed on-device by Apple's vision framework. No images, video, or QR contents are stored or sent to our servers.
Microphone input — the App itself does not record or transmit audio. The permission is declared because the embedded web experience may, with your explicit permission via the iOS system prompt, use the microphone for in-product features (e.g. voice walkthroughs). If used, that audio is handled by the Realspace web platform per the main Privacy Policy.
Local configuration — your selected region, mode (Remote / Display / Admin / Insights / Tool), and any custom tool URLs you configure. Stored in iPadOS local storage and only readable by the App.
Collected by the Realspace web platform (via the embedded sign-in)
When you sign in to Realspace inside the App, the Realspace web platform processes your account credentials, session cookies, project data, and usage telemetry. This is governed by the main Privacy Policy above.
What we do not collect via the App
- We do not include any analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs in the App.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, calendar, location, health, or other personal data.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
4. Regional data residency
During first-run setup, you select a server region: Asia Pacific, United States, Europe, or Middle East. All Realspace platform data associated with your account is stored and processed in the region you select:
| Asia Pacific | `ap.app.realspace.io` | Asia Pacific |
| United States | `ap.app.realspace.io` (shared) | Asia Pacific |
| Middle East | `me.app.realspace.io` | Middle East |
| Europe | `eu.app.realspace.io` | Europe |
5. How we use information
We use the information processed by the App to:
- Pair your iPad with the correct Realspace Display
- Authenticate you to your Realspace account
- Deliver project content selected for the paired display
We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for marketing.
6. Third parties
The App connects to:
- Realspace web platform (`*.app.realspace.io`) — for sign-in, projects, and content
- Apple — for redemption code processing and standard iPadOS services (e.g. push notifications if you enable them)
- Custom tool URLs — only if you configure them. Those third parties are governed by their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for their data handling.
-
7. Children
The App is intended for use by adult real estate professionals. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. Most account-level requests are handled by the Realspace web platform — see the [main Privacy Policy Above] for the request process.
For App-specific data (the on-device configuration), you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the App.
9. Security
We use TLS for all network communication between the App and the Realspace platform. Session cookies are stored in the App's sandboxed cookie store and are not shared with other apps.
10. Changes to this policy
We will update the "Last updated" date at the top when this policy changes. Material changes will be highlighted within the App or by email to the email on your Realspace account.
11. Complaints
If you have a concern we have not resolved, you may complain to your local data protection authority. In New Zealand this is the [Office of the Privacy Commissioner](https://www.privacy.org.nz/). In the United Kingdom this is the [Information Commissioner's Office](https://ico.org.uk/).
